Longacre School
Shamley Green

About the Group:

Longacre is a small mixed independent school of approximately 200 pupils aged from 2 to 11. The charming 1902 main house and two bright new buildings are set in 9 acres of attractive wooded grounds in the village of Shamley Green.

The school was founded by Miss Ursula Fairfax Cholmeley in 1946. Through the generosity of her husband, Mr Robert Fitzgerald, the school became a charitable trust in 1985. Throughout its history it has had a reputation for being a happy and relaxed school where children can enjoy their school days and look back on them with fond memories. This atmosphere remains and is greatly treasured to this day.
